Mrs. Viola Mae LaNore's Obituary
Viola Mae LaNore, age 75, of Blue Lake, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Viola was born on February 8, 1942 to Francis and Alma (Alexander) Sherwood in Muskegon. She loved fishing, ceramics, and more than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Viola is survived by her loving husband, James LaNore, children; Leann Mae (Otto) Stapel and Michael J. (Linda) LaNore, grandchildren; Jeremy J. LaNore (Kay), Gregory E. Dixon, Phillip (Crystal) Dickson, David Brow, Renee and Jessica Stapel, Robin Stapel, David Stapel, Casey Dudley and Michael Rossiter, great grandchildren; Jeremy G. LaNore, Ariana Dixon, Mikeala Dixon, Ameilia Dixon, Savanah Stapel, Rebecca Stapel, and two very special friends; Daniel Eugene Gentz and Steven Alan Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Dale, Harold and James Sherwood, and two nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 PM. Memorial Contributions can be made to Christ The Rock World Harvest Pantry or Big Brothers Big Sisters Foundation to fund children’s fishing trips.
