Viola Mae Cummins' Obituary
Mrs. Viola Mae Cummins, age 91, passed away Sunday morning, October 16, 2011. She was born July 25, 1920 in Detroit, MI to James and Ida Ewing. Mrs. Cummins was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Lee Cummins and her three sisters and their husbands. She is survived by her three children, Edgar James Cummins of Pittsburgh, PA, Rev. William Lee (Dotti) Cummins of Lodi, CA, Peggy Ann (Dave) Van Andel of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Viola spent most of her adult life in Plymouth, MI. After her husband retired, they sold their home in Plymouth and she and her husband would spend the next 30 plus years residing in Muskegon and joining the snowbirds in Florida. Viola was involved in her church in Plymouth as a Sunday School Teacher and other ministries. She had a deep love for her Lord and Savior, and was always willing to show his love to her family and others. SERVICES will be held 1:30 PM Thursday at Calvary Church in the Chapel (5873 Kendra) with her son, the Rev. William Lee Cummins officiating. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
