Violet M. Green's Obituary
Violet M. Green, age 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 11, 2021, at her home. Violet was born September 26, 1942, to Alfred and Violet (Tobey) Stillson. Violet married Lester Palmer on May 7, 1959, and he preceded her in death. Then Violet married Donald E. Green in May of 1965 and he also preceded her in death on July 25, 2009. During the 47 years of marriage, Don and Violet traveled America, but Muskegon was home. Violet enjoyed painting, quilting, and writing poems. Violet was a member of the East Muskegon Church of God, taught Jr., and Adult Bible Studies, worked in the church pantry and was a member of the board and treasurer. Violet is survived by 5 children: Lester Palmer of Boise, ID; Tammy (Bo) Roscoe of Wendell, ID; Donald R. (Debra) Green of Muskegon, MI; Rene (Tim) Calvert of Hamilton, MI and Ronda Hunt of Muskegon, MI; 17 grandchildren (4 deceased) and 14 great grandchildren (1 deceased). A memorial service will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, at 11:00 am at Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 695 Allen Ave., Muskegon, Michigan, 49442. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI, 49442.
