Violet Luella Williamson's Obituary
Mrs. Violet Luella Williamson, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Ravenna, Michigan. Violet was born on September 26, 1931 to George and Edith (Baker) Strowbridge. On December 1, 1953, she married Robert Williamson, and they were married 51 years prior to his passing in 2004. After raising her six children, Violet worked as a waitress at the Ravenna Round Table for several years prior to her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the American Legion Sherman Moore Post # 297 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed music and dancing. Violet is survived by five children, Michael Williamson, Brenda (Ira) Courson, Trina (Al) Archer, Jeffery Williamson, and Holly (Art) Goerbig; son-in-law, Ron Puite; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Debbie Puite; her parents; one sister, Phyllis Humbree; and infant brother. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, December 28, 2023 at The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 29, 2023 at The Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Joey Kretoski officiation. Burial will be in Chubbuck Cemetery in Kent City.
