Violet Margaret Knudson's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret V. Knudson, age 92 passed away at home Thursday, March 25, 2010 following a brief illness. Margaret was born in Port Huron, MI on August 11, 1917 the fourth of five children to Alex E. and Jane E. (Button) Garrow. For many years, Margaret worked as a legal secretary for a federal judge in Port Huron and in 1960 married Mr. Lawrence N. Knudson. Following retirement, Margaret and Lawrence moved to Lakeland, FL. Lawrence passed away in 1979. Margaret remained in Lakeland and continued to manage the mail distribution center at the park where she resided until finally retiring. She moved to Muskegon to be near family in 2005. She is survived by: nephew, Kenneth (Linda) Doctor of Norton Shores, three nieces, Kathy Hamilton of Oregon, Linda Doctor of Norton Shores and Margaret Kozal of Roosevelt Park; two step-daughters, Karen (Ralph) Ulrich and Beverly (Jack) Stuckert and many great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held: 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron.
