Virginia A. "Gin" Bagnieschi's Obituary
Virginia A. “Gin” Bagnieschi, age 86, met her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was born on December 29, 1935, to John and Ruth (Long) Maginity in Beulah, MI before making her way to Muskegon. She was a graduate of Muskegon Heights high school class of 1954. Gin then began her lifelong career as an executive secretary for numerous companies. She started at Teledyne Continental Motors, then made her way to Clarke Floor Machine, Brunswick, and BilMar Foods. Gin finally retired from Muskegon Community College where she dedicated 15 years. In October of 1987, she married Rodger Bagnieschi in Las Vegas, NV. Together they cherished 34 years full of love and laughter. Gin was an active member of both the Vikings and Muskegon Eagle #668 for 20 years. She loved the friends and community she built over the years. Gin was also an avid bowler and was even part of a bowling league. She had a love for dogs, crossword puzzles and was a talented writer, specifically when it came to poetry. Gin was known to be a prankster; always able to fill a room with laughter. Gin was a wonderful wife, loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother and dear friend to many. Her caring and tender-loving spirit will truly be missed. She is survived by her husband, Rodger Bagnieschi; daughter, Rochelle Locke; 2 grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Bowen and Eric (Amber) Locke; 3 great-grandchildren, Riley, Madisyn and Korson; sister, Chris Marie Gorkisch; sister-in-law, Rose Maginity; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Maginity; twin infant daughters, Robin Ranae and Rhonda Kay; brother, Willard Maginity; and 2 sisters, Kathryn (Gary) Rose and Mary (Gale) Jones. A Celebration of Virginia’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 2-5:00 PM at the Vikings Lodge, 3132 Lakeshore Dr., Muskegon, MI 49441.
