Virginia S. Davis' Obituary
Virginia S. Davis, age 95, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020. She was born August 22, 1924 in Muskegon to Frank and Helena (Pacula) Tapek. Virginia graduated from Muskegon High School in 1942 and was very involved in cheerleading. On October 4, 1947, she married Edward H. Davis at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Muskegon. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and was a life member of the VFW 8846 Auxiliary. SURVIVORS include her husband, Edward; 2 sons: Martin (Linda) Davis and Thomas Davis; 2 grandchildren: Sean (Kim) Davis and Jeremy Davis; 2 great-grandchildren: Andrew and Summer Davis; 3 sisters: Genevieve Karpowicz, Angeline Kay, and Stephanie (Roger) Moore. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Tapek. A Celebration of Virginia’s Life will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the VFW Post 8846 (1061 Witham Rd.). Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery.
