Virginia M. Elwell's Obituary
Heaven gained a very special angel with Ginny’s passing to eternal life on Friday, October 18, 2024. What a joyous celebration it must have been as she was embraced by her husband David, daughter Jilanne, parents Mabel and Dick, and brother Richard. Her place at the pinochle table must have been waiting for her along with her favorite club sandwich!
Ginny’s heart overflowed with love for her family. She will be so missed by her son Gregory (Wendy); grandchildren: Lauren (Tanner), Kendyl, Kylie, and Addison; best friend Joni; and great-granddog Elenore.
Ginny had a strong faith and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran church. She loved all things holiday from baking and decorating to working at Hallmark. And let’s not forget her spicy side, especially her feisty sense of humor and how she loved hitting the casinos on her way back from Mackinac.
A Private Service is being held for Ginny, and she will then be interred together with her husband Dave at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity long supported by them. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
