Mrs. Virginia Alma Nelson's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia Alma Nelson, age 81, passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 7, 2015. Virginia was born on January 22, 1934 to Dale and Mary Dilling. In 1951 she married Carl Nelson and together, they were blessed with 3 children. She worked various jobs though out her life but spent the majority of her career working for Motts Canning Factory. Virginia loved to cook and camp but most enjoyable to her was always her family. She was a simple, loving, caring woman who will be deeply missed. Virginia is survived by her children, Dale (Debbie) Nelson; Dorleen (Jerry) Kelling and Charlene Lockhart; grandchildren, David (Tammy) Nelson, Jerry (Shauna) Priest, Daniel (Kristine) Nelson, Rodney (Dena) Nelson, Jenny (Johnny) McDonald and Chris Kelling; great grandchildren, Kayleen, Morgan, Maddison, Alyssa, Zachery, Kylee, Johnny III, Kiernan, Carlee and Makayla; sisters, Mary Bower, Thelma Marvin, Janice (Tom) Marvin, Denise (Vic) Brady, Doreen (Earl) Bunnell and Chris (Jack) Chyrowski; and brother, David Dilling. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Abe, Dick, Jim and Joe; sister, Doris Green; and her parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at 2pm at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave 231-736-6110. VISITATION will be held 1 hour prior to the start of the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS can be made to Mercy VNS Hospice.
