Mrs. Virginia May Pamer's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia May Pamer was 94 years young. Her beautiful blue eyes so captivated Grandpa Powers that he and grandma brought her home from the orphanage to love and cherish. On February 11, 1943 she married Emil Andrew Pamer and they shared 52 years together before his passing March 24, 1995. They will always be in the hearts of their children: Paul (Judy) Pamer of Houston, TX, Phil (Arlene) Pamer of Twin Lake, Mary (Don) Margraves of Port Charlotte, FL Ann (Pete) Van Dyken of Dunlap, TN, Sue (Mark) Lenkiewicz of Springfield, MI Steve (Ruthann) Pamer of Spring Lake, Joann (Rick) Buikema of Grand Haven, and Diane (Ray) Buikema of Nunica. She will also be greatly missed by her 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and many friends. Virginia enjoyed cards, shopping and playing Bingo with her wonderful friends at Lloyd’s Bayou Apartments. Her true love in life were cherished times with family. Equal to her strong Catholic faith was her passion of sharing, giving, and helping others. Her engaging personality brought happiness and smiles to all those who shared time and experiences with her. Though she aged in years, she never aged in spirit. Many friends and family members have commented on their wish to possess her spunk and her joy in living life to the fullest! Virginia retired from MESC (Michigan Employment Security Commission) and was formerly acting as a switchboard operator for Sheldon Corp., Muskegon Osteopathic Hospital and Red Cross. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America #599, St. Michael’s Altar Society, SERA (State Employer Retirement Association), and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil, as well as her granddaughter, Rachel Williams. Virginia’s Life will be Celebrated with a Mass held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Spring Lake with the Rev. Fr. Dave Gross presiding. VISITATION with the family will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with the Rosary prayed at 5:00 PM.
