Virginia L. Pierce's Obituary
Virginia L. Pierce (Mounce), Of Spring Lake, MI, wife of the late Robert H. Pierce, D.O., age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters Thursday morning December 20, 2018. She was born at home September 15, 1940 in Kappa, IL to Kellis and Faye (Sparks) Mounce. Virginia was a beautiful person inside and out. She always put others needs before her own. She was kind, generous, outgoing and always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Always the devoted friend, Virginia loved to plan mini adventures for her group of ladies. Above all she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed and though she is gone from our sight she leaves behind many vibrant memories. On August 30, 1959 she married Robert H. Pierce in El Paso, IL and is survived by three children, Kelly (Dennis) Pierce-Hayes of Whitehall, Wendy L. Scott of Spring Lake, James Andrew "Andy" (Lisa) Pierce of San Jose, CA; five grandchildren, Dakota, Montana, Riley, Alexander, Garrison; step-granddaughter, Tatum (Eddie) Perez of Denver, CO.; and brother, Gene (Mary Ellen) Brown. Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert H. Pierce in 2013, son, Robert Todd Pierce in 2004 and grandson, Trevor Pierce in 2012, sister, Joann Underwood and brother, James Brown. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Virginia will take place on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 at 2:00 PM with visitation taking place on hour prior to the service.
