Virginia H. "Ginny" Pierson's Obituary
Virginia H. “Ginny†Pierson age 84, of Ravenna died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Transitional Health Services in Fremont.
Ginny was born on April 22, 1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Leo and Gladys (Hillebrand) Finkler. Virginia was married to Douglas Geib for many years then married I.C. “Ike†Pierson and he preceded her in death on July 26, 1989.
Ginny is survived by: 1 Daughter: Cheryl (Mac) White of Wyoming, 3 Sons: Doug (Kathy) Geib of Ravenna, Mike (Deb) Geib of Minnesota, Steve (Sue) Geib of Ravenna. 6 Step Daughters: Susan Pierson of Fennville, Ann Pierson of California, Barbara Pierson of Boston, Linda “Maude†Pierson of Muskegon, Margaret Pierson of Ravenna and Patricia (Larry) Kipka of Middleville. 3 Step Sons: Michael (Mary) Pierson of Ravenna, Tim (Mindy) Pierson of Virginia and Tom Pierson of Cadillac. 18 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. 1 Sister: Shirley Jansma of Florida.
Ginny was preceded in death by: Parents, Husband Ike, 1 Brother: Leo Jr. and 1 Grandson: Todd Geib.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00am at the St. Catherines Catholic Church in Ravenna with Father Brucker celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Catherines Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00pm.
