Mrs. Virginia Jean Stromberg's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia J. Stromberg, age 86, passed away Wednesday April 4, 2018 at a local care facility. Virginia was born May 15, 1931 in Muskegon to Herman and Bessie (Nelson) Knapp and was a lifelong resident. On February 18, 1950 she married Marvin Stromberg and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2011. Jean was a homemaker and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son, Alan Stromberg of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, Shelley, Melissa, Marty, Halley, and Dale; several great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Carroll (Mary) Knapp of Whittier, CA, and Marvin Anderson of Muskegon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to Marvin, she was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Katherine Elaine Stromberg; her son, Brian Stromberg; grandson, Donald Greenert, Jr; sister, Ruby Oliver; and brother, Alvin Anderson. In accordance with her wishes, private services will be held. Memorial contributions in Jean’s name may be made to The American Red Cross. Arrangements by the Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, 726-5210.
