Virginia "Ginny" Cartier's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia “Ginny” Cartier, age 76, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, passed away early Thursday morning, November 1, 2007. She was born July 28, 1931 in Muskegon to Henry and Evelyn (Neault) Minnerick and had been a life resident. Mrs. Cartier was a 1949 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. For 36 years she was the Vice President and Treasurer of Cartier Machine Tool Equipment Company before retiring in 2006. She was a charter member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and a member of the Viking Lodge Linne’ 57. Mrs. Cartier was an avid tennis player, enjoyed playing cards, loved music and dancing, and was affiliated with the Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant for 22 years. On March 12, 1954 she married Robert P. “Bob” Cartier, Jr. in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on February 15, 2006. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Mary Kay (Dan) Hoeker of Norton Shores, Michelle (George) Rudolph III of Grand Rapids; 6 grandchildren, Robert J. Marsala, Anthony M. Marsala, Patrick R. Marsala, G. Austin Rudolph, Kennedy C. Rudolph, Quentin M. Rudolph; brother-in-law, Richard (Gwen) Cartier; and 2 nephews. A MEMORIAL MASS will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Thomas G. Simons presiding. Burial will take place in Pere Marquette Cemetery, Ludington, MI. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at
