Virginia J. Semelbauer's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia Jean (Reed) Semelbauer, beloved wife of Robert, age 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 8, 2010. Ginny was surrounded by her family at her home when she peacefully went to sleep for her final rest in the arms of her daughter. She was born December 10, 1931 in Muskegon to Clare and Virginia (Mosher) Reed and lived in the area her entire life. On April 23, 1949, she married Robert “Bob” A. Semelbauer. Virginia devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and cooking. Bob and Ginny enjoyed traveling to places like Germany, Hawaii, Paris and around the USA, especially Branson, MO and Nashville, TN. She is SURVIVED by her husband of 60 years, Bob Semelbauer; 7 children, Brad (Kris) Semelbauer, Ronnie (Kathy) Semelbauer, Diane Semelbauer, Kathy Semelbauer, Bobby Semelbauer, Ginger (Rocky) Grenell, Jeannie (Steve) Carlton; 33 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren (with 3 on the way) and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Ken (Judy) Reed of California; 2 sisters, Peggy (Lester) Reigler and Rosemary Kurtzer both of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Brent Semelbauer; her parents and 3 brothers Jack, Tom, and Joe. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 11, 2010 at Christ Community Congregational Church (45 S. Green Creek Rd.).
