Virginia Kathleen Harris' Obituary
Mrs. Virginia Kathleen Harris, age 84, passed away Friday morning, November 16, 2007. She was born January 11, 1923 in Muskegon to Delbert and Gladys (Wells) Yeaw and lived in the area her entire life. On February 1, 1946, she married Clayton W. Harris in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 13, 1990. Mrs. Harris worked in food preparation for Muskegon Public Schools, De Boer Nursing Home and Mercy Hospital. She enjoyed spending time at Getty Street Grille with her special friends, Virginia King, Connie Taylor and Betty Love (who recently passed away). She was a member of Olivet Reformed Church and the VFW #3734 Ladies Auxiliary. SURVIVORS include 3 daughters, Jackie Terpenning, Diane (John) King, Debra (Joseph) Gabriel all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, Ann (Craig) Grant, Eric (Ruth) Terpenning, Joey (Leslie) Gabriel, Adam (Sara) Gabriel, Matt (Abbey) Gabriel, John King III, Jammie (fiance, Jonathan Hansen) King; and 11 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Bernard “Bud” Yeaw. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2007 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210, with the Rev. John Rager officiating.
