Virginia Louise Snider's Obituary
Mrs. Virginia Louise Snider, age 71, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2005 at her home. She was born July 28, 1933 in Cadillac, MI to Reuben and Josephine (Haysmer) Soderquist and came to the Muskegon area 22 years ago. On September 11, 1954, she married H. Dean Snider in Cadillac. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she worked as a cook at the former Muskegon Regional Center and had also worked at The Washing Well. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Undercover Ladies. SURVIVORS include her husband, H. Dean Snider of Muskegon; 3 children, Gary (Barb) Snider of Jenison, Maryanne Callaway of Montgomery, AL, Stephen (Marcy) Snider of Ventura, CA; 5 grandchildren, Alex Snider, Rob Snider, Amberlyn Levins, Ryan Snider, Nicole Snider; 1 step-grandson, Glenn Charles Callaway; 3 brothers, Duane (Evie) Soderquist, Carrol Soderquist both of Kalamazoo, Mike Soderquist of Reed City; 3 sisters, Sue Perry of Irvine, CA, Pat (Leon) Sluyter of Beulah, MI, Fran (Bill) Yoder of Fort Wayne, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Larry Soderquist. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport (213 W. Oak, Fruitport) with the Rev. Steve Worth officiating. INTERMENT will take place at E. Dalton-Oakhill Cemetery. VISITATION with Mrs. Snider’s family will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport.
