Virginia May Cross' Obituary
Mrs. Virginia May Cross, age 82, went to heaven Friday morning, November 13, 2009 with her loving family by her side. She was born July 3, 1927 in Muskegon to Lloyd and Vivian (Wyant) Stickney and had been a life resident. Mrs. Cross had worked for Hanson’s Drive-In, Mr. Charles Department Store, and also Reeths-Puffer High School in the kitchen. She enjoyed many things, but especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. On June 7, 1947 she married Harold J. “Stub” Cross in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2004. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Carol Cross, Gloria Cross, Greg (Diane) Cross, Sandy Walker; 9 grandchildren, Lori (Dave) Powers, Eric (Summer) Walker, Scott Koone, Carrie (John) Munroe, Wendi (Gabe) Guerrero, Andy (Jenny) Cross, Leslie (Howard) Beniston, Dave Birr, Greg Thomas; 15 great-grandchildren, Casey, Zachary, Sarah, Alec, Trevor, Anna, Kyle, C.J., Jacob, April, Autumn, Emma, Kaitlyn, Kamden, Gavin; 2 brothers, Richard (Shirley) Stickney of Ravenna, Gene (Judy) Stickney of Muskegon; 1 sister, Doris (Harold) Harjer of Wilcox, Arizona; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, James, Robert, and Lloyd Stickney; 3 sisters, Barbara Stickney, Donna Malone, and Mary Stickney. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Lakeside United Methodist Church (2160 Crozier) with Dr. Zawdie K. Abiade officiating. VISITATION with her family will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at
