Vivian A. Collins' Obituary
Mrs. Vivian A. Collins, age 79, passed away Sunday morning, August 14, 2011 in Grand Rapids. She was born January 27, 1932 to Lawrence and V. Arlene (Loosemore) Sweet in Muskegon Heights, and lived in the W. Michigan area for the past 30 years. She worked at Jet Electronics for 18 years, retiring in 1991. Vivian enjoyed being outdoors, walking the pier in Grand Haven, and her cats. She especially loved being with her family, and her friends at Sunrise Assisted Living in Cascade. On October 4, 1951 she married Jack C. Collins in Colorado Springs, CO, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2008. SURVIVORS include 1 son, Mark Collins of Byron Center; 6 grandchildren, Candice (Dave) Stavale, Kristen (Collin) Fink, Andrew Collins, Jenny (Scott) Loss, Jerry Collins, Julie Collins; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Jerry (Fran) Sweet of Grand Haven; 2 sisters, Phyllis McDonald of Grand Rapids, Judy Brando of Fruitport. She was also preceded in death by her son, Vance Collins; and her daughter-in-law, Anita Collins.
