Vivian I. Kolbe's Obituary
Mrs. Vivian I. Kolbe, age 94, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born on December 26, 1912 in Grand Rapids to Clarence and Jessie (Fitz) Raynor, and had resided in the area most of her life. She was a member of Orchard View Congregational Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, and was an elementary school teacher at Beach School. On October 18, 1940 she married Thomas E. Kolbe in Fremont, and he preceded her in death on January 4, 1984. SURVIVORS include son, Denny (Sharon) Kolbe of Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Kolbe of Muskegon, Michael (Jane) Kolbe of Rockford, Matthew (Julie) Kolbe also of Muskegon; 5 great grandchildren, Kayla, Kyle, Collin, Stephen and Lydia; brother-in-law, Martin (Jackie) Kolbe; sisters-in-law, Frances Kolbe and Ruth Kolbe; cousins, Ardath McCall, Velma Ensley, and Ethel Dahms; and nieces, Karen (Phil) Gilmer of Kent City, and Cheryl (Bob) Wright of Newaygo. Mrs. Kolbe was also preceded in death by sister, Fern Klinger. SERVICES will be 11 AM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Sunday. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Orchard View Congregational Church will be appreciated.
