Patty...I feel deeply for you. It is most difficult to lose what you love the most. What keeps you chugging along now, are the good memories. Volney and you have given me some great ones. Most people dont believe the story of Volney letting me come in with a big ol' John Deere tractor and turning over his grass, to put in 160 tomatoe plants. He is the same guy who got all mushy when I wanted to put up a tire swing for the angels, Mellisa and April. Times were GOOD, I miss them and your family. Volney put up a good front of being the "tough guy", but we know better. He was a good man. When I see a "Drill Sargeant" training a fresh waitress/bartender, it brings me back to the days of Volney and Hope. It always evokes a small smile, as he's chewed my ass too.
I live far away now, but when I do pass that Whitehall Rd. area, I have to look where some good magic used to happen..
All my love for you and the girls...##imported-begin##Douglas Hoople##imported-end##
