V. Paul Young's Obituary
Mr. V. Paul Young, age 85, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011 at his home. He was born October 14, 1925 in Muskegon to Osmer and Ella (Kulp) Young and lived his entire life in the area. He was a 9-year veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He worked over 30 years for Brunswick Corp. in the stock room and retired in 1989. On December 31, 1977, he married the former Gloria Mae Perry in Muskegon and she survives him. Paul and Gloria enjoyed traveling the U.S. in their RV motorhome and were active in several RV Clubs across the U.S. Paul also enjoyed golfing and bowling with Brunswick, but especially liked to watch his grandkids and great-grandkids having fun. He was a member of Hope Reformed Church and VFW Post 446. SURVIVORS include with wife, Gloria; 3 step-sons, Jerry (Diane) Seabolt, Randy (Renee) Seabolt, Mike (Velma) Seabolt; 1 brother, Clark Young; 1 sister, Betty Sorensen; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his special dog, “Sassy”. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Hope Reformed Church (1878 Evanston Avenue) with Pastor Steven Hyma officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with military honors offered by the honor guard of VFW Post 446. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Mercy VNS & Hospice, Inc. or Hope Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
