Wallace G. "Wally" Tallent II's Obituary
Wallace G. “Wally” Tallent II, age 95, met his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. He was born on April 30, 1928, to Wallace and Betty (Holland) Tallent in Dayton, TN. He was a proud veteran serving in both the U.S. Marines and Navy during World War II. He was a dedicated employee of General Motors, where he worked as a shop committee manager for 30 years before retiring in 1984. On December 27, 1971, he married the love of his life, Agnes Schaible in Ringold, GA. Together they cherished 51 years full of love and laughter. He was a faithful servant of his Lord attending First Lutheran Church. He was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #701 and is currently a member of the Don Rea VFW Post #8846 in North Muskegon. In his earlier years, he enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting from time to time. He liked spending this time traveling just for a quick glimpse of something new. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes Tallent; son, Wallace (Suzanne) Tallent III; stepson, Ron (Tresha) Kidder; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Joe Tallent and William (Marlene) Tallent; and brothers, Cecil Tallent, Paul Tallent and Jimmy Tallent. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at First Lutheran Church, 1206 Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445.
