Wallace M. "Wally" Wittkopp's Obituary
Mr. Wallace M. “Wally” Wittkopp, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away early Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Muskegon at the age of 72. He was born April 15, 1938 to Bernard and Alice N. (Paulson) Wittkopp in Muskegon, and lived most of his life here. He was employed as a Pattern Maker for 30 years, retiring from Anderson Pattern, and also served as a business agent for Muskegon Area Pattern Makers. Wally was a member of the Viking Lodge, Lakeside Veteran’s club, Polish Falcons, Polish Union, Lithuanian Club, and the Lakeside Eagles. He will really be missed by his family, friends, and many acquaintances for his fun and good natured humor. SURVIVORS include his wife of 45 years, Faye Ann; 4 children,Kari (Tim) Goulet of Okemos, MI, Tara Duplantis of Nederland, TX, Ronda (Chet) Kroll of Ravenna, Brent Wittkopp of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Albin “Bing” Wittkopp of Muskegon, Rodney (Sandy) Wittkopp of Perry, MI; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and 1 brother Eddie Wittkopp. A CELEBRATION OF WALLY’S LIFE will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 16, at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 with Rev. Allan J. Engstrom officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service.
