Wally was always special to me as he and Uncle Clarence always conducted my men's group at Robbinswood A.L.F. He was a wonderful friend while I grew up as a member of Saint Pauls's U.C.C. Wally was a good man. I had the honor of taking care of him at Oak Crest. I always liked joking around with him and his famous "Attention on Deck". My prayers and condolonces are with your family!

I am going to have my kids read his obituary and tell them about trying to be well rounded. The Klempel boys on the loose in the East End with their hockey uniforms, wow! The music they produced! I hope there are some recordings. And of course the memories of seeing him grinning and laughing at St. Pauls. We were very sorry to hear of Wallie's death. He was an old and true friend both personally and in business. Often in the church's fellowship hour we would discuss the "old days", and when our son worked with him at Ottawa Steel. I remember how often we would see Wallie pedalling his bike, and the many times we sat together watching St. Paul's soft ball teams play.
