Mr. Wally L. Tiefenthal's Obituary
Mr. Wallace “Wally” Tiefenthal, age 79, passed away Thursday, August 31 in Petoskey, MI. Wally was born on February 14, 1938 to Lawrence and Mary (Anderson) Tiefenthal in Muskegon. Wally graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in 1956, then joined the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country until 1959. On November 26, 1960 he married the former Zelda Arcioni in Muskegon. Wally founded and owned Tru-Tech Tool & Machine Corp. and served on the Board of Directors for First General Credit Union. He was a member of the Eagles as well as the Elks. Wally was an avid fisherman, golfer and hunter and always cheered on the Detroit Red Wings. He was a friend to many and cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. Wally will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Zelda; sons, Jim (Colleen) Tiefenthal and Paul (Karen) Tiefenthal; grandchildren, Brittni and Alec Tiefenthal, and Scott and Kara Tiefenthal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary; and brother, George. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 10:30am at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S Harvey St., (231) 798-1100.
