Mr. Walter F. Camp's Obituary
Mr. Walter F. “Walt” Camp, age 88, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012. He was born January 30, 1924 to Walter and Gertrude (Young) Camp in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Mr. Camp worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for over 31 years, retiring in 1983, was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force, and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #446. He was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church, serving on Council, as a Cadet Counselor, and the Building and Grounds Committee. Walt enjoyed traveling, outdoors, and various sports. On May 2, 1947 he married Dorothy Mae Hoffius in Muskegon, and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2010. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Mary Camp, Robert (Barbara) Camp; 5 grandchildren, Heather (Harpreet Mangat) Camp, Heidi Camp, Clinton Camp, Jason Camp, Amanda (Justin) Dieleman; 2 great-grandchildren, Trenton Camp and Jaydyn Mangat; sister, Juanita Zuder; in-laws, Bob and Doris Hoffius; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother , Wayne Camp. A CELEBRATION of Walt’s life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 13, at the Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 937 W. Norton Ave., with Reverend John Rop officiating. VISITATION at
