Walter Glenn "Wally" Clark's Obituary
Walter Glenn “Wally” Clark, age 71, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was born January 30, 1953 in Grand Haven, MI to Glen E. and Roby O. (Rose) Clark and lived in the area his entire life. On October 7, 1977, he married Pamela Ann Sorensen in Muskegon. Wally worked as a machinist for many area companies, including L3 Communications and Johnson Technologies for over 40 years prior to retiring in 2021. Wally also owned and operated 30 rental homes and apartments over the years. He currently attended First Free Methodist Church and had formerly attended Kainay Community/Port City Church & Central Assembly of God. Wally was a driver for FEMA and helped with rescue efforts for Hurricane Katrina. He also enjoyed collecting things – especially antiques. He was always willing to help someone who was down on their luck. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 48 years, Pamela Ann Clark; 5 children, Abraham Clark, Elizabeth (Michael) Szymanski, Hannah Clark, Daniel Clark, Andrew Clark; 4 grandchildren, Keira, Aslynn, Alexandra, Jayden; 1 brother, Alan (Maeng) Clark; 3 sisters, Rosemary (Richard) Fett, Paula Knowles, Laurie Powell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Benjamin Clark; his parents; 1 brother, Barry Clark; and 1 sister, Kathleen Keech-Sands. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444, with Pastors Carlos Ramos and Greg Casteel co-officiating. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday, October 18, 2024 and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Compassion International.
