Walter K. "Vodge" Nixon III's Obituary
Mr. Walter K. “Vodge” Nixon III, age 39, passed away at Henry Ford Hospital on November 7, 2014. He was born on August 22, 1975 to Walter and Elizabeth (Carlson) Nixon Jr. in Muskegon. Walter was working for Guardsmark Security in Muskegon. On April 27, 2002, he married the former Jennifer VandenBosch and she survives him along with 2 children, Alexis and Hunter; mother, Elizabeth Nixon; sister, Laura Nixon; nephew, Andrew Oakes; in-laws, Marjorie (Jim) Broton and Michael VandenBosch; brother-in-law, Chad (Tiffany) VandenBosch; nephews, Camden and Peyton VandenBosch; several aunts, uncles and cousins, and 2 special dogs, Bambi and Cocobug. Vodge was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
