Mr. Walter E. "Bud" Kempton's Obituary
Mr. Walter E. “Bud” Kempton, age 67, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 6, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon on December 6, 1947 to Walter E. and Doris (Cavanaugh) Kempton. Bud was a veteran of the United States Army and had served in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post #446 and the American Legion. Bud was a certified addictions and substance abuse counselor and took great pleasure in helping people manage their struggles. He loved fishing, playing the guitar and rebuilding small engines. Bud is survived by one son, Jonathon (Candace) Kempton, Sr.; 4 grandchildren, Erin Yeoman, Lauren Yeoman, Skylar Kempton and Jonathon Kempton, Jr. one sister, Nancy Paul and one brother, Ron Kempton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Neveah Kempton. A MEMORIAL SERVICE with MILITARY HONORS will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 12, 2015 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel.
