Walter Krbez Sr.'s Obituary
Walter Krbez Sr., age 90, Fruitport, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2020. He was born March 23, 1930 to Hermann and Margarita (Schwartz) Krbez in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a young child, Walter came to the Muskegon, MI area with his mother and sister. On March 5, 1949 he married the love of his life, Verna Jean Hall. Together they cherished 71 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2010. He worked as a cabinet maker and machine operator at E.H. Sheldon and Amstore. Walt was a generous, hardworking man who produced quality cabinetry in his home workshop, and enjoyed his hobby of farming with his antique John Deere tractor. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his 4 children: Walter (Denise) Krbez Jr., Margaret (Gary) Butts, Edward Krbez and James (Tammy) Krbez; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth “Nina” Bylsma. Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak concerning social distancing, private family services will be held.
