Walter F. Springsdorf Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Walter F. Springsdorf, Jr. age 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. He was born on December 27, 1928 in Muskegon to Walter and Altha (Cross) Springsdorf, and resided in the area all his life. Walter was a member of Faith Bible Church, and enjoyed golfing, traveling, reading and working in his yard. He served his county in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. Walter married the former Alice King on February 14, 1954 in Muskegon, and she preceded him in death on December 21, 2016 after 62 years of marriage. SURVIVORS include four children, Steve (Barb) Springsdorf of Grand Rapids, Diane (Greg) Crawford of Muskegon, Connie (Karl) Juusola of Muskegon, and Tom (Donna) Springsdorf of Alabama; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Richard (Lynette) Springsdorf. Walter was also preceded in death by his sister, Nona McAdow. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 with Pastor Joe Galy officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery.
