Mr. Walter S. Swiatek's Obituary
Mr. Walter S. Swiatek, age 82, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 in Muskegon. He was born in Muskegon Heights on April 21, 1930 to Frank J. and Victoria (Macion) Swiatek. Mr. Swiatek had been employed for over 25 years as a welder for Steel Fabricating before retiring. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and of the Polish Union. Mr. Swiatek enjoyed playing his accordion, going to polkas and the outdoors. He is survived by his 2 children, Wally (Andrea) Swiatek and Maria (Jeff) Loss; 5 grandchildren, Andria, Dylan, and Austin Swiatek and Nicholas and Christian Loss; 1 brother, Ralph (Karlene) Swiatek and 1 sister, Lillian Chandonnet. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Eddie, Stanley “Spike”, Alfred and Art Swiatek; and 1 sister, Frances Halasinski. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with the ROSARY prayed at 6 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider Harbor Hospice.
