I don't read my E-mails timely, like I should, but I've got Mess bookmarked right between CNN and Fox News, for news.Serously, though; Your Dad was a kind and generous Guy, who always made us feel welcome.I had a lot of fun playing ball for 13 years, among other things, due to His generosity. I know I drank a lot of free Pepsi. Almost as much as Denny Mclain. I always appreciated it. Again I was saddened to hear the news, but I know your Dad is in a better place. You are in my thoughts. Dear Gawkowski Family, I wish to add my condolences to those of my sister and brother, Roberta and Alan. Our fathers were great friends, and when my father died young, Gov would allow my mother credit and always tell her to pay him as she could. I believe Gov was on of my father's pallbearers, and Alan has said that Gov was also his sponsor for his confirmation in the Catholic Church. I was glad to see the photo that you posted of him, because it was as I shall always remember him, with a big smile on his face. Our mother, Bettye DeMuro, died last June at the age of 88. I know that she and we have always been most grateful for your father's kindness. He was a splendid example to both of our families. You have my sincere sympathies. To the family of Gov....I wish to add to the comments of my sister Roberta DeMuro Nielsen who warmly remembers your father and grandfather and his many kindnesses to our family. Indeed, he helped sustain my widowed mother and her four young children when he ran his first market on Henry street in the 1950's. My father died young, but he had made a wonderful friend, who was so generous to our family during those difficult times.
