Walter M. Hagen's Obituary
Mr. Walter M. Hagen, age 84, passed away Thursday evening, June 19, 2008. He was born May 2, 1924 in Fruitport to Martin and Virginia (Hale) Hagen. Mr. Hagen was a 1942 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked for Continental Motors for many years before retiring in 1984. Mr. Hagen served many years as secretary/treasurer for the Northway Lanes Bowling League. He also enjoyed country and big band music. On November 9, 1946, he married the former Frances Overkamp Camastos in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on September 27, 2007. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Dale (Heather) Hagen of Silver Lake, Christine Galloway of Muskegon, step-daughter, Loretta (Doug) Stressman of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Carolyn) Hagen; 3 sisters, Jane Gates, Delores Smith, Barbara (Jerry) Lahnala; and 13 nieces and nephews.
