Walter Wayne "Walt" Emans' Obituary
Mr. Walter Wayne “Walt” Emans, age 76, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 8, 2005, at his home in Egelston Township. Walt was born to Charles and Dorothea (Milks) in Owosso, Michigan on April 1, 1928, and was a resident of Muskegon since 1974. He worked for and retired from General Telephone Company after 30 years of service. Walt was a Veteran, serving in the Army from 1946 to 1948 and serving in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He enjoyed golf, hunting, bowling, camping and was a member of the Looney Tunes Camping Club. On January 29, 1949, he married the former Bernadette Hunt in Fort Wayne, Indiana and she survives him along with 5 children, Dennis (Lynda) of Muskegon, Deborah (Stephen) Pariseau of Burton, Theresa (Robert) Jarrell of Davison, Kimberly (Michael) Wheeler of White Pigeon, and Kevin (Su) of Cedar Springs; 2 granddaughters; 10 grandsons; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Betty Truesdell of Flint, Kathryn (Gene) Faber of Owosso, Geraldine (Richard) Blakeslee of Owosso, Alice (Red) Domerese of Arkansas; 1 brother, Charles (MaryAnn) of Owosso; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many special friends who know who they are. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothea; his Mother and Father-in-law, Lawrence and Emily Hunt; brother Gerald; sister Diana; brother-in-law Donald Truesdell and sister-in-law Phyllis (Hunt) Bowman. SERVICES will be 1PM Thursday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.
737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210, with Chaplain Jan M. Johnson officiating. VISITATION will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday. Interment will take place at Meadow View Memorial Cemetery in Davison, MI on Friday.
