Wanda L. Cargill's Obituary
Wanda Lynn Cargill, age 76, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022. She was born December 30, 1945 in Muskegon to Clyde and Helen (Kempker) Hollinshead. Wanda graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Psychology and worked many years for the State of Michigan as a Social Worker. She was an avid reader of mystery novels, loved to sit by Lake Michigan and watch the waves and storms roll in, paint, and make crafts with the grandchildren. SURVIVORS include two children: Patricia (Anthony) Sapone and Anthony Cargill; four grandchildren: Nina Hollinshead, Alec Cargill, Nicholas Burns, and Dakota Cargill; four great-grandchildren: D’Anthony Nunez, Carina Nunez, Makayla Jelinek, and Elliana Cargill; special niece, Diana Magerl; and long-time friend, Marge Beekman. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Patrick Justian; and daughter, Tara Cargill. A MEMORIAL GATHERING for Wanda will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210.
