Wanda Lee Engle's Obituary
Mrs. Wanda Lee Engle, age 89, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Spring Lake, Michigan. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK on April 6, 1932 to Lee and Alice (Bell) Jones. Wanda was employed by General Motors for 19 years prior to her retirement in 1995. She found pleasure in life’s simple things and enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation. Wanda enjoyed arts and crafts, trips to the casino, playing cards, and crossword puzzles. She held a special place in her heart for animals, which she affectionately called her “fur babies”. Her favorites were dogs and elephants. Most importantly, Wanda was a wonderful mom, grandma, and great grandma and she cherished her family. She is survived by her beloved and faithful dog, Maya; four children, Jim Gray, Don Gray, Rob Gray, and Renee Jackson; six grandchildren, Tyler Gray, Samantha Gray, Trent Jackson, Chase (Abrah) Jackson, Karen Gray, and Justin Gray; three great-grandchildren, Deagan Jackson, Ainsley Jackson, and Kendell Krueger; brother, Dennis (Sally) Jones and sister, Alice (Robert) Fleshman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Engle; parents; and three sisters, Martha Hawthorne, Shirley Jones, and Anna Belle Jones. A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE will be held 7:00 PM Monday, August 23, 2021 at Covenant Life Church (101 Columbus Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417). Visitation with her family will be immediately following her service. MEMORIALS in memory of Wanda may be directed to the Humane Society of Ottawa County.
