Mrs. Wanda "Winki" M. Jepsen's Obituary
Mrs. Wanda “Winki” M. Jepsen, age 94, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018. She was born on August 26, 1923 to Gordon and Mary (Miszewski) Robidoux in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, Winki married William H. Koch in 1944, and he passed away in 1945. She then married William O. Jepsen in 1947, a WWII veteran and he preceded her in death. Winki enjoyed golfing, traveling and taught Western line dancing. She was a proud master gardener. Winki served as a Cub Scout Pack Leader and Brownie Leader. She was a member of the Muskegon Viking Lodge, Elks Lodge and Woman’s Division Chamber of Commerce. Winki volunteered at the Muskegon Museum of Art and ushered at the Frauenthal Center. She was an active member of St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild. Winki is survived by her children, Marc (Ann) Jepsen, Holli Jepsen and Jamie Jepsen; grandchildren, Jill (Todd VanAppledorn) Jepsen and Erik (Nicole) Jepsen; great-granddaughters, Camille and Claire Jepsen; siblings, Donna Wicklund and Douglas (Barb) Robidoux; and nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly. She was also preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 22 at 11 AM at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church (1200 Seminole Rd. Muskegon, 49441) with a reception following the service at the Muskegon Viking Lodge. Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, January 21 from 2-4 PM at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, 49441, 231-759-8565. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Viking Burn Camp.
