Wanda L. Cline's Obituary
Wanda L. Cline, age 57, passed away at home Monday evening following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Flint, MI on November 11, 1953 to Harland and Shirley (Hutton) Lawcock and was a 1971 graduate of Swartz Creek H.S. Wanda also attended the Kendall School of Art and Western Michigan University. Wanda was an accomplished artist and musician, her career in art brought her many awards over the years and was commissioned by many of our more famous citizens for personal and family portraits. As a musician Wanda was formerly employed as a church organist and music director at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Grand Haven and the Salvation Army. Wanda married Mr. Ronald D. Hock in Pentwater on October 1, 1994 and he survives her along with: daughter, Tanya (Andrew) Kuipers of N. Muskegon; son, Dylan (Rory) Hock of Muskegon; mother, Shirley Lawcock of N. Muskegon; four grandchildren, Quindynn, Declan, Murry and Capote; and one brother, Roger (Susan) Lawcock of Bridgeport, MI. A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held, 1:30 P.M., Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the First Congregational Church, 1201 Jefferson St., Muskegon, Rev. Timothy VanderHaar officiating. The family will begin receiving guests one hour prior to the service. For those desiring an expression of sympathy please consider the Wanda Cline Memorial Fund.
