Wayne Johnson's Obituary
Wayne Johnson, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 in Spring Lake, Michigan. He was born on Oct 19, 1946 in Muskegon to Edwin and Elisabeth (Ade) Johnson and resided in the Muskegon area most of his life. Wayne served in the US Army from 1966-1968. Wayne was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He retired from Ermanco. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed making new friends. On December 30, 1966 he married Marlene Parsons and together they celebrated 53 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife; son, Dean (Jacki) Johnson; daughters, Beth (Dave) Cherry and Heidi (Mike) Vitek; one brother, Dennis (Jan) Johnson; four grandchildren, Philip (Myranda) Johnson, Molly Johnson, CPL Adam (Cassidy) Vitek and Ethan Vitek; one nephew and five nieces. Wayne loved his dog "Tilly". Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Darwin Johnson; and one sister, Wanda Denton. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
