Wayne A. Raifsnider's Obituary
Mr. Wayne A. Raifsnider, age 95, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 in Allendale. He was born on October 28, 1925 in Fremont, MI to Arthur and Ida (Dickenson) Raifsnider. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked for a private trucking company for over 20 years. Wayne attended Fruitport Bethel Baptist and Olivet Evangelical Free Church. He enjoyed traveling, water skiing, piloting his own plane, and loved music. On August 22, 2015, Wayne married the former Betty Rose Kokx, and she survives him along with three step-children, Mitch (Barbara) Iversen, Tony (Kathy) Iversen, and Christi (Chuck) White; brother-in-law, Bud (Dolly) Rose; two nephews, Robert Vandenberg, Doug (Cinda) Raymond; and niece, Linda (Josiah) Bray. Wayne was preceded in death by his former wives, Ilean and Dora; sister, Lena Raymond; brother, Lyle Raifsnider; niece, Margaret (Glen) Shaffer. Graveside Services will be 1PM Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Lakeshore Cemetery in Grand Haven Township. Share memories with the family online at www.sytsemafh.com.
