Wayne F. Boudreaux Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Wayne F. Boudreaux, Sr., age 68, passed away in Muskegon, Monday morning, April 6, 2009 at the Harbor Hospice-Poppen Residence following a long illness. Wayne was born on April 30, 1940 in Mermentau, Louisiana to Mark and Bernice (Foreman) Boudreaux. He was in the R.O.T.C. while a student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and upon graduation entered the U.S. Navy where proudly served from 1962 to 1968. In 1969 the family moved from Cincinnati to Muskegon and Wayne began what became a 33 year career at Brunswick Corporation as an electrical engineer. He retired in 1996. Wayne was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He traveled throughout the country on his motorcycle and was past president of the West Michigan Tour Riders. On August 13, 1961, he married the former Vera M. Breaux and she survives him along with their son, Wayne (Coralia) Boudreaux Jr. of Wyandotte, MI; two sisters-in-law, Jenelle Boudreaux and Ovanita Leger and a brother-in-law, John Breaux. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark in October 2008. The funeral service will held at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100, 11:00 A.M., Thursday. Visitation: Wednesday, 6-8 P.M. He will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati. Memorial: Harbor Hospice or American Cancer Society.
