Wendy (Cooley) Vorres' Obituary
Wendy Lou (Cooley) Vorres, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on her birthday, Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was born in Muskegon on December 18, 1948 to Chauncy and Betty (Stone) Cooley. Wendy had worked as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office for 24 year prior to her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the Don Rea VFW Post #8846 Women’s auxiliary. Wendy loved animals, especially dogs, and regularly donated to Pound Buddies and ASPCA. She enjoyed planting flowers, trips to the casino, fish fries at the VFW, watching the Price is Right, and vacations in Las Vegas. Most importantly, Wendy loved her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her granddaughters. She will be missed by her three children, Kelly (Kevin Flegel) Somers, Korri Nelson, and James (Katherine) Olding; two granddaughters, Shelbi Somers and Charlotte Olding; two brothers, Roger Cooley and Charles (Deb) Cooley; and her best friend, Patty Mikula. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
