Wesley F. Hutson Jr.'s Obituary
Wesley F. Hutson Jr., age 67, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at home, after courageously battling cancer. He was born on May 21, 1955, to Wesley Hutson Sr. and Anna Houghton in Muskegon, MI. He was a proud veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was also proud of his heritage and being part of the Little River Band tribe. Wes was a dedicated employee of Sealed Power, where he worked as a mechanic for many years. He was a true outdoorsman, he loved fishing, hunting and camping. He was a huge enthusiast for motorcycles and cars and had a knack for playing pool. Above all things, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. Wes was an outgoing and charismatic man who could fill a room with nonstop laughter. He was always protective and loving to all those he cared for. Wes will always be remembered as a loving father, wonderful grand and great-grandfather, amazing brother, and dear friend to many. His vivacious and tender-loving spirit will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his 4 children, Patricia (Scott) Hutson, Wesley (Jessica) Hutson III, Krissy (Jeremy) Hutson and Misty (Glow) Ferguson; 20 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jennifer (Jeff) Bridenstine and Sabrina Hutson; 2 brothers, Mark (Debra) Hutson and Fred (Tracey) Hutson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters, Deborah Bullard and Kathy Smith. A Private family service will take place. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2-4:00 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the VFW Derezinski Post #7729, 6285 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Memorial Contributions in Wesley’s honor can be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
