Aunt Edna and Uncle Bun gave me a home for several years after my mother (Rita Saxton) died in 1949. I was in a foster home for a while, but they came and got me. I lived with them in the little house before they built the big one. I got to live in the big one, too. Those years are some of my happiest childhood memories. I'm so grateful that Uncle Bun let her follow her heart and share their lives with so many needy people. They made a big difference in many lives. I can't be there for the funeral but my heart and prayers are with you.

I am with you at your time of loss. As a little girl I remember Mr. Saxton and all the times that were spent at their house playing with their dog Candy. I even have a picture of my brother Dan and I with Candy, dressed in a dress! I wish now I would of kept in more contact with Mr. and Mrs. Saxton as I grew older. I did take my mother "Micky" over to see them after my Dad died. I also remember all the times my brother and I played with Wesley, Gracie, Debbie, Lloyd, and Jonie. I think that was all of the kids. I really enjoyed the years that we lived next to them. I remember Mr. Saxton getting ducks and plucking the feathers off them. My Mom and Dad stayed friends with them for a long time after they moved. Now Mr. Saxton can be with Mrs. Saxton again.

It is written that the greatest of all things is love.

Love is what I could depend on from Aunt Edna and Uncle Bun (Wesley) Saxton. From the time we moved to Michigan as a small child to having my wedding shower in their basement, and watching them hold and love my kids and grandkids.. My heart is full and my life enriched by these people.
