Willard O. Weinert's Obituary
Mr. Willard O. Weinert, age 87, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 in Muskegon. He was born on June 2, 1917 in Mason County to Oscar & Mabel (Lund) Weinert, and had resided in the Muskegon area for the past 60 years. Mr. Weinert had worked at Sealed Power for 42 years before retiring in 1982. He was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Weinert loved to bowl, play his saxophone, and enjoyed memorizing and reciting poetry. On August 17, 1940 he married the former Lucille VanEps, and she survives him along with 7 children, Michael N. & Rita A. Weinert, Loretta A. Halberda, Robert W. Weinert, David A. & Jan L. Weinert, Larry A. & Sue K. Weinert, Gertrude E. & Torger T. Johnson, Margaret E. & Michael J. Matuzeski; son-in-law Louis Hoeft; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Gladys Boyer of Custer, MI. Mr. Weinert was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Audrey A. Hoeft, 3 brothers, and 1 sister. SERVICES will be 1 PM Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church (1501 Woodside Rd. Muskegon MI, 49441) with Rev. Herbert Graupner officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565
Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
