Even though I have only known Bill through Rotary since 2019, I am forever thankful for the many opportunities he gave me within Rotary and the community. His wisdom, support, sense of humor, and encouragement has always been appreciated. I will miss the emails with the RIM editing notes, funny filler articles, and even the fun music from his past performances. Thank you for making my life and so many other lives better, Bill! I am blessed to have been Bill’s friend and band mate for over 10 years with Off the Record. Bill was truly the “leader of the band” and a gifted singer and musician. Always so very kind and upbeat, and I have so many memories of hilarious things he would say off the cuff to keep the show engaging and fun. He had an exceptional gift for harmony which is how I would also describe his very nature. I will miss him dearly and am grateful to have known him and his lovely family.

Thank you for all the memories, the music, and the friendship Bill. You are one in a million.

My name is Tom Dobecki, and I too shared the stage and lifetimes with BJ (BillyJoe)as a fellow musician and band mate. We teamed up with the rest of the Phantom Five in South Bend and transitioned to the Fugitives in Bloomington - the bands of demand in the 60s and 70s. We lived together and kept each other out of trouble. I am going to miss him dearly. Rest in Peace BJ and my condolences to your family. Tom (Pooh Bear) - now living near Atlanta
