William "Bill" L. Cousineau's Obituary
William L. “Bill” Cousineau, age 85, went to heaven on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born on August 30, 1931 in Baldwin, MI to William and Marjorie (Crandell) Cousineau. Bill was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served his country during the Korean War. He then started a plastering business that was successful enough to last through his 23 years as a material handler at S.D. Warren, and well beyond his retirement in 1993. Bill was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church in Grand Haven, and enjoyed reading, and watching auto racing. On February 28, 1953, he married the former Dorethea Hensel, and they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary shortly. SURVIVORS include his wife, Dorethea; three children, Joy (James) Verboncouer of Muskegon; William (Kelly) Cousineau of Muskegon, and Pastor Roger (Barb) Cousineau of Turner, ME; eight grandchildren, Justin Verboncouer, Will (Macy) Cousineau, Kylie (Damon) Ramaker, Josh (Anna) Cousineau, Nate (Lisa) Cousineau, John Cousineau, Lilliana Cousineau and Pablo Cousineau; 12 great grandchildren; and brother, Stanley (Pat) Cousineau of Baldwin, MI. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Joshua Verboncouer; and sister, Elaine Cousineau. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11AM Monday, February 27, 2017 at Lakeshore Baptist Church (17306 Church Hill Dr. Grand Haven, MI 49417) with Pastors Nate Birkholz, Wayne Muri and Roger Cousineau officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Christian Care Nursing Center or Lakeshore Baptist Church will be appreciated. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery.
