William "Bill" L. Dunham's Obituary
Mr. William L. “Bill” Dunham, age 77, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 in Grand Haven. He was born on September 5, 1939 in Muskegon to Floyd and Lillian (Henley) Dunham, and resided in the area all his life. Bill worked as a press operator at Quality Tool and Stamping for many years, before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed coaching softball, baseball, and football. Bill was one of the pioneers of the Beach Football League and a former President of the Beach Baseball League. He also enjoyed golfing in leagues with his wife, Sharon. Bill will be remembered for his love of his family, and the countless sporting events he attended for his grandchildren. On October 12, 1957, he married the former Sharon Lipton. SURVIVORS include his wife of 59 years, Sharon; five children, Paula (Fred Westerfield) Dunham-Zielinski of Fruitport, Robbie (Kevin) Olsen of Fruitport, William (Ruth Johnson) Dunham of Muskegon, Cindy (Shelly) Dunham-Tozer of North Port, FL, and Patrick Dunham of Muskegon; five grandchildren, Britney (Josh) May, Chad (Melissa) Olsen, Brent (Brianna) Zielinski, Jeff (Hannah Wolcott) Olsen and Dylan Dunham-Tozer; four great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Aliana, Caleb, and Kevin; two brothers, Robert (Ginger) Dunham, and Timothy Dunham; sister, Dolly Long; and sister-in-law, Mary Helen Dunham. William was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lillian Dunham; three brothers, John, Floyd “Bud”, and Thomas Dunham; and sister, Eleanor “Mick” Franklin. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Lorraine Sundin officiating.
